NEW HOULES TRIMMING “IMPERIALE COLLECTION” BY ERIC EGAN

Houlès worked with the interior designer Eric Egan for this new classic trimming collection.

The inspiration of this sophisticated collection, was the imperial eggs of Fabergé. The 1894 Renaissance egg and its trellised detail on the moulds were the most important inspiration sources. The “leaves” around the moulds were inspired by the 1911 Bay Leaf Tree egg. The designer treats these trimmings like jewellery, so who better to turn to than Fabergé with their rich colours, and the surprising colour combinations and finishes.
